Prof. Xiande Zhao,
Director of Center for Supply Chain Management and Logistics, Professor

Dr. Zhao Xiande is currently a Professor of Operations Management in the Department of Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics and the Director of Center for Supply Chain Management & Logistics, Li and Fung Institute of Supply Chain Management and Logistics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration with a major in Operations Management and a minor in International Business from the University of Utah in the USA. He also received his MBA and MSc in Chemistry from the same University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Nankai University in China.

Dr. Zhao's teaching and research interests are in the areas of Supply Chain Management and Service Operations Management. He has published over fifty articles in refereed journals including Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Consumer Research, Decision Sciences Journal, Production and Operations Management Journal, International Journal of Production Research, and European Journal of Operational Research and others. In addition to teaching MBA, EMBA and BBA students at universities, he has also provided training and consulting services for various business corporations including DHL, Japan Airline, China Telecom, GlaxxoSmithKline, China Mobile, Towngas, Kerry Properties, China Unicom and Beijing Commercial Bank.

Dr. Zhao is currently the President of the International Association for Information and Management Sciences and Vice President of the Asia Pacific Institute of Decision Sciences. He is members of the Editorial Board for Decision Sciences Journal, the International Journal of Internet and Enterprise Management and the International Journal of Yield Management. He is also an associate editor for International Journal of Business and Systems Research.
   
   

Dr. Jeff Yeung,
Director of Supply Chain Management Research Center, Professional Consultant

Dr. Yeung, Jeff Hoi-yan is a Professional Consultant at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is now teaching Supply Chain Management and E-commerce for the MSc and MBA programs.

Dr. Yeung got his BSc in Mechanical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan, MSc in Industrial Engineering from University of Houston, Central Campus, and PhD in Manufacturing Engineering from Queensland University of Technology. Before setting off to Queensland, Australia in 1994 to pursue a doctoral degree, he served several large corporation including Motorola, East Asiatic Company Hong Kong Ltd., and Astec. Upon returning to Hong Kong in 1997, he started working for a Hong Kong public listed electronics manufacturing company as a General Manager. Prior to joining the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dr. Yeung has been a Business Consultant for J.D. Edwards, a leading supply chain management software provider.

Dr. Yeung's research interests are E-Commerce; Supply Chain Management; Production and Operations Management. He is currently serving on the Editorial Board of International Journal of Business and Systems Research (IJBSR).

   
   

Prof. T.S. Lee,
Professor & Dean

Prof. Tien Sheng (T.S.) Lee (http://dse.baf.cuhk.edu.hk/TS-Lee/) is the Dean of the Faculty at Chinese University of Hong Kong, and he is also the Professor in the Department of Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics. Prof. Lee received his PhD in Business Administration (majoring in Production and Operations Management) from the University of Missouri-Columbia (UMC), his MBA from UMC, his MS in Management Science and his BS in Electronic Engineering from Taiwan Chiao-Tung University

His research interests include production and inventory management, material requirements planning, master production scheduling, and quality management.  He is a prolific writer and has published in many international academic journals. A member of the BA Faculty since 1992, Prof. Lee brings more than 20 years of experience in education to his position at the school's helm. Prof. Lee first came to CUHK in 1989 as a visiting scholar. However, he liked it so much that he rejoined CUHK in January 1992 and has been here ever since.  He was appointed Chairman of the Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics Department in the fall semester of 1998.  Prior to rejoining CUHK, he was Chairman of the Management Department at the University of Utah for two years.  He taught at UU for six years and at Bowling Green State University, Ohio for three years.  Before his academic career, he worked for the State of Missouri's Public Service Commission as Load Forecasting Manager and for Texas Instruments (Taiwan) as a Product Process Engineer. 

He has been actively involved in professional community service in the past two decades.  He was President of the Asia-Pacific Chapter of the Decision Sciences Institute between 1998 and 1999, and has just finished a two-year term as the Vice-President (representing the Asia-Pacific Region) of DSI.  Since 1989, he has been actively engaged in academic exchange with scholars on the Mainland.  He is currently Visiting/Consultant Professor for Nankai University, Tianjin University, Southeast University (Nanjing), Southwest Jiaotong University (Chengdu), and Northeastern University (Snengyang).
   
   

Prof. Timon Du,
Professor

Prof. Timon Du is the Associate Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Director of MSc in E-Commerce (Business Programme). Prof. Du received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Chung-Hsing University (Taiwan) in 1989. He also has Master's and Ph.D. degrees in the Industral Engineering from the Arizona State University. Prior to joining the faculty, Prof Du was an associate professor at the Chung Yuan Christian University (Taiwan). His research interests are object-oriented database management systems, artificial intelligence, intelligent production and manufacturing, and manufacturing information systems. 

   
   

Prof. Deming Zhou,
Assistant Professor
Dr. Deming Zhou is an Assistant Professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Management Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University and a Ph.D. in Management from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. Deming Zhou's research interests are in supply chain contract design, supply chain competitions, logistics, and health care related operation management issues.
